Multi-Stroke Lightning Interaction with Wiring Harness: Experimental Tests and Modelling

This paper presents the obtained results of experimental tests and modelling lightning disturbances that were propagated in a model aircraft cable bundle caused by multiple return-strokes interactions. The work is continuation previous research, which was concerned mainly with interaction discharge single return-stroke. section harness arranged above metal plate investigated. In one its wires, multiple-stroke current representing indirect effects injected from an impulse generator dedicated to avionics immunity tests. Overvoltages induced at ends other wires surrounded braided shield, as well influence line parameters shield grounding condition on shape level observed transients, examined. computer simulation match measurement data satisfactory accuracy, therefore, presented can be used estimate wiring avionics.
